In this Privacy Policy, the expressions “WP Creations”, “we”, “us” and “our” are a reference 201508 Ontario Inc. and its Canadian related and affiliated companies.

At WP Creations, we want your on-line and in-store experience to be enjoyable and we take care to respect your privacy when you visit our website and our stores. We endeavour to handle your personal information responsibly and to act fairly and honestly with all our customer transactions. We do this gladly because we know that if you have a good experience with us, you will want to visit our website and our stores again… and maybe even tell your friends about us.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected by us. We are bound by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, provincial private sector privacy legislation, and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (collectively, private sector privacy legislation), which governs the way private sector organizations collect, use, keep secure and disclose personal information and send commercial electronic messages.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to generally inform people of:

how and when we collect personal information;
how we use and disclose personal information;
how we keep personal information secure, accurate and up-to-date;
how an individual can access and correct their personal information; and
how we will facilitate or resolve a privacy complaint.
If you have any concerns or complaints about the manner in which your personal information has been collected, used or disclosed by us, we have put in place an effective mechanism and procedure for you to contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the issue or complaint.

So here’s the gist of our privacy policy in plain English: The only data we collect from you directly is your email address, name, phone number, mailing address and maybe an answer from time to time should you answer questions on any of our forms.

We also see what products you’re interested in when you select our mailing lists from online contest forms or make purchases from our WP Creations or Shop WP Creations websites.  We use this information to help send you products and promotions about those products.  Our POS system captures your previous purchases and child’s name and details as you provide them to us and is only used for internal purposes.

Indirectly, I am using both a Google Analytics and a Facebook tracking pixel, which means those apps receive whatever data you agreed to share when signing up for their services. Thus, I strongly suggest you review Google’s new privacy policy and your Facebook privacy settings.

I use Google Analytics mainly to track my websites’ health and my SEO efforts and we sometimes use Facebook ads and targeted Facebook posts. All we want is some degree of analysis of my audience as a whole and not any group in particular.

Please see Section 13 for further details.

We can be emailed at info@wpcreations.com or write to us at PO BOX 27002 Dundas McLaren RPO, Cambridge, ON, N1R 8H1, Canada and our privacy officer will then attempt to resolve the issue. We recommend that you keep this information for future reference.

In this age of internet shopping, we have learned that customers require peace of mind when it comes to the security of using the internet. We will keep a record of the complaint and any action taken in a Register of Complaints.

Consent, modifications and updates
14.1 Interaction of this Policy with contracts

This Privacy Policy is a compliance document prescribed by law rather than a legal contract between two or more persons. However, certain contracts may incorporate all, or part, of this Privacy Policy into the terms of that contract. In such instances, a WP Creations company may incorporate the terms of this policy such that:

(a) certain sections or paragraphs in this policy are incorporated into that contract, but in such a way that they do not give rise to contractual obligations onto the WP Creations entity, but do create contractual obligations on the other party to the contract; and

(b) the consents provided in this policy become contractual terms provided by the other party to the contract.

14.2 Acknowledgement

By using our website, purchasing a product or service from WP Creations (whether in store or online) or entering a competition or interacting with us via social media, you are acknowledging and agreeing:

(a) to provide the consents given by you in this Privacy Policy; and

(b) that you have been informed of all of the matters in this Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to modify our Privacy Policy as our business needs require. We will take reasonable steps to notify you of such changes (whether by direct communication or by posting a notice on our website). If you do not agree to our continued use of your personal information due to the changes in our Privacy Policy, please cease providing us with your personal information and contact us via the details set out at the top of this document.
